Tossing or tweaking your photographs would not be a great idea if your picture is crooked or scanned at an angle. With Adobe Photoshop Elements Version, you may instead straighten up your image with some really simple and easy-to-use steps. Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 and 4 offer you only the correct tools to straighten your tilted or angled photograph. Here's how!
The 2 predominant tools offered by Adobe Elements to repair your image are the measure tool and the crop tool. The measure tool is used to set a certain level of the picture and straighten up it. It could be easily operated by choosing the measure tool from the menu and clicking on one horizon of the document/picture and dragging it to the other end of the document.
Doing this would set the level of the document. With this tool, besides a horizon, you could even fix an edgy shelf or a four sided roofline to the perfect horizontal level. Now, click the rotate canvas option to rotate the image and fix it on the canvas. The canvas will expand according to the size of the picture. Then, use crop tool to cut the extra unwanted edges.
Those opting for the crop tool have the advantage of fast straightening since this tool offers both the cropping and straightening options at once. For operating the crop tool, choose the crop tool and drag a crop marquee. Position the horizontal edge on the horizontal line to set the level of the picture. Once again, it can be roofline or an edgy shelf instead of a horizon which needs to be fixed in an ideal horizontal position. Now drag the marquee so that its edge merges with the horizon line. This is done to align the edge to a horizontal position.
After one edge is set, repeat the same to align other edges. But, remember that if you want to repair the vertical lines on the image, then, do not align them with vertical borders. You can fix them by using 'perspective' option available in the option bar. By selecting the perspective option, you may correct the vertical lines by fixing the corners of the boundary meant to be cropped to the right perspective. Be sure to keep all the corners in the assigned document.
The perspective element is not available with Photoshop Elements. You may activate it by transforming the selected background into a layer by double hitting the background. Crooked shots are a rising issue due to the increase of digital cameras where the photographer clicks the snap while keeping the camera straight and looking behind screen. This distorts the image by making it disproportional. Therefore, clicking 4 to 5 shots of the same subject image isn't the only solution.
The process would not only waste your camera's battery but also its memory. With the newest and user friendly sophisticated tools in Adobe Elements, you may eliminate your angled image and transform it into a visible pleasure.
