Drum circle facilitation is a good way to leisurely spend the child's time while he is still in preschool. This is an activity that will allow the little one to improve his music and learning abilities. It is also a good start for him and her to be socially graceful and active.

The child will not only learn in this activity. He will also interact with many people. The participants of this activity are from various age bracket so he can surely gain lots of experience in handling people. These people will usually play drums and other percussion instruments.

The musical instrument is a way for the child to familiarize rhythm. He will be able to polish up and improve his coordination if he learns how to bang the drums properly. Depending on his capabilities to learn, he will gradually improve his drumming skills.

The person can make use of a rhythm response with this. In rhythm response, an appointed leader will have to make a rhythmic beat out of the drums. After that, the group will have to follow the beat. This will go on until the group can keep up with the leader.

It is also possible for children to explore music through this activity by themselves. To do this, it might be best to have the children play along to a music and have them follow the rhythm. It would be good to show them how to do it on the first session though before allowing them to do things on their own.

Doing animal rhythms is also possible in this. He can associate a certain rhythm to an animal that the children are pretty much familiar with. Have the little children follow the rhythm that the leader has set until they have familiarized themselves to it.

One can also do the song guessing as long as the drum circle facilitation is properly done. He can go for a rhythm of a song which everyone in the group might be familiar with. The little ones can then join in if they know what the beat to the rhythm is.
